Handwoven in Bolgatanga, a historic crossroads of West African trade and craft in Ghana's Upper East Region, this mudcloth throw is made from hand-spun cotton and dyed using fermented river mud and natural plant extracts, following a tradition that has been passed down through generations of West African artisans.

What makes this piece truly rare is its colour. Where most mudcloth speaks in black and cream, this one sings bold yellow, deep burgundy wine, and warm terracotta red woven alongside cream and black in a vibrant expression of the Bògòlanfini tradition seldom seen outside the hands that made it.

The repeating oval seed motifs along each border speak to life, fertility, and the fullness of the human experience. The hourglass and diamond symbols at the centre carry meanings of balance, duality, and the passage of time. Every section of this cloth was made with intention.

At a full 2 yards, it is as versatile as it is beautiful; it can be draped as a statement throw over a sofa or armchair, hung as a large-format wall textile, layered as a bed runner, worn as a wrap or ceremonial cloth, or gifted as a meaningful heirloom piece.
